yieldHUB on the road in 2024

2024 was a big year for events and probably the biggest one yet for yieldHUB.

From Washington DC to Liverpool and Tokyo, we made it our mission to answer all your questions, showcase the yieldHUB platform live in action and soak up insights like sponges. Here’s a recap of the events we exhibited and our take:

• NMI Manufacturing the Future Annual Conference: Liverpool (UK) June 5

As the most trusted yield management supplier in the UK, we were delighted to meet with customers and see familiar faces. We exhibited, networked, pitched and made the kind of contacts that matter. This event covered how UK manufacturing scales globally, how supply chains rewire, and how semiconductors drive everything from med-tech to quantum. Plus, it touched on the UK's National Semiconductor Strategy which was published in May 2023. The strategy which commits up to £1b over the next decade to strengthen the UK’s semiconductor sector - and what it means for our prospects, customers and businesses like ours.

• IEEE MTT‑S International Microwave Symposium: Washington DC, June 16-21 

It was our debut at this heavyweight RF/microwave week event and we were not let down. The technical depth was impressive. The exhibition floor was a department store of innovation with 500 + exhibitors and scores of new products ranging from GaN-on-SiC power amplifiers to the latest in 5G/6G. Best of all? The people. From designers and vendors to system integrators and test-engineers, we pitched, networked and planted seeds for future collaborations. Plenty of “wow” and “hmm” moments? Absolutely.

• SWTest Conference: Carlsbad (CA), June 3–5 

There's no doubt this was a more intimate event but just as interesting as other industry events. It included meeting customers, yield talk and even networking on the golf course... this was where the test world met. Testing is where yield meets reality. We immersed ourselves in in depth conversations and met some new faces.

• SEMICON West: San Francisco, July 9-11  

We made our SEMICON West debut in 2024 and what a stage it was. Our team had a great time responding to all the intrigue surrounding our yield management platform and the performance advantages it brings to engineering teams around the world. The show’s energy was electric, with conversations spanning smart manufacturing, supply chain resilience, sustainability and the ever-evolving role of AI in semiconductor production. Between keynotes and the surge in investment momentum across the industry, it felt like being at the centre of the semiconductor universe. For us, it wasn’t just about showing up, it was about being part of the global conversation shaping what comes next.

• PSECE: Manilla,  July 24-26

It wasn't the first time we attended this event, but as usual, we had a wonderful time meeting with friendly prospects and networking with like minded people. For those of you who don't know, a large portion of our customer success team is located in the Philippines so it was a great opportunity for attendees to have their questions answered by the people who help our customers on a daily basis. 

• SEMICON Japan 2024: Tokyo, December 11-13 

It was the first time yieldHUB exhibited at this event as part of the EU Business Hub. Our team was impressed, not just by the incredible networking opportunities but also the sheer size of the event. There were hundreds, possibly event thousands of booths and there was some very cool technology on display - we even saw robots shooting hoops and playing ping pong. One of the highlights during this trip was being invited to present at the Irish Ambassador's residency. We were one of two businesses chosen. It was a great way to wrap up the year up in Tokyo with global perspective and new collaborations.

What we learned & what’s next

• Show up globally, win locally. From Liverpool to Tokyo, presence matters.
• Yield is everywhere. Whether RF, test or supply-chain, the yield story threads through all.
• Networking isn’t accidental. From trade shows to golf tournaments, it happens when you mix business and real world.
• Trend spotting beats fad-chasing. Sustainability, AI, smart manufacturing: we saw them live, not just in reports.
